So, have you ever felt like your writing was great but…

Have you ever felt like something you wrote was so compelling and amazing, and then it is literally crickets/radio silence? In some of my writing,I feel like I am just sharing my day or just general opinions. But then there are times that I feel like I open a part of my very soul to no response. The reason for writing isn’t always to know that someone will communicate back because a lot of it isn’t something that people see. But when it is and I don’t hear any response, sometimes I feel that either I am not as deep as I thought or that my subject is one that people just don’t care for. Do you ever feel that way? Writing in certain posts/blogs or articles and you think that someone can relate but then you never hear input isn’t pleasant. I know that it happens from time to time and that is just how it is. It doesn’t mean that when getting incredibly personal and vulnerable and people seem aloof or uninterested that it doesn’t matter because it does. And it may sting to feel like you are being rejected.

That is how I feel write now about something I recently submitted to a site and I will get over it, I am sure. I will keep reading my T.D. Jakes, working out, and watching Burn Notice. What could be better to cheer a girl up? Oh,I forgot! Chocolate.:) Hopefully whatever you are putting your heart and soul into will get recognized  or validated  in the way that you feel that it should. But if it does not, just know that you are still writing and that writing may sometimes be for other people, but it is always for the writer and that is what matters. Write for yourself. Don’t write just for the sake of others. Sure there  are people that will benefit from certain posts or blog entries and maybe you feel led to share your perspective or expertise on those things. But don’t make everything that you write about geared towards a specific audience. Sometimes writing what you need to say at that moment is and should be enough.
